Never thought I'd blog about girls high school basketball, did ya?

This morning I heard about a girls high school basketball game in Texas where some Christian school apparently beat their opponent 100-0. The winners continued to play a full-court press and to shoot three pointers into the 4th quarter. They let up with about 4 minutes left, once they reached 100 points.

Does anyone else think there's a problem with this?

  1. Did you also hear that the losing team only had 8 players, and the winning team apologized afterward? Reminds me a of a little town that we played back in the day. They graduated classes of about 5 at a time, and they had VERY small sports teams. One year, they had 5 guys who all happened to be gifted at basketball. It was the year that other teams were actually scared of losing to them.

  3. Yes, and I also heard that the 8-person losing team was from a school for kids with learning disabilities.
